I bought a Brita water filter 2 days ago and I’ve noticed that there is black sediments starting to form at the bottom of the water container. Is this normal? Is it safe to drink? I’ve since put down to full containers.

Does anyone know if a brita water filter ment to replace Kenmore part number 9010 will fit and function as Kenmore part number 9030? The brita filters are MUCH cheaper, but I want to know that it will work before I buy it.

I started drinking water more regularly a few years ago and I always hated the taste of tap water. But I started using a Brita water filter and that made it easier to drink. However the new apartment I have moved into has different fouler tasting water.

Even after I put it through my water filter I still can’t stand the taste. I have tried tap waters from about 6 different places that I have lived recently and they all tasted about the same and were all bearable after I put them through my brita. I also had to clean out my filter with soap because the taste residue of the water from my new place was so strong it was affecting the taste of other water.

So I asked my building manager about this and they said they 0would call a plumber. However when I inquired about what they found out they were very unresponsive and basically brushed me off. They told me a number of things to try to disuade me.

They said the person who lived there before me never said anything. I said maybe that person didn’t drink a lot of water. Then they told me it’s the location and that when they are in other towns or cities it tastes different. I then said all the previous places I tasted tap water were in this city and one of the places was just down the road.

I have researched online that it might be because of the pipeing. Its an old buidling.

Im wondering if I get the pipes replaced in just my apartment would it solve the problem OR would they have to change the pipeing in the entire buidling OR would they have to do something about the water supply?

My rent is fairly expensive and I would not have moved in if this was going to be an issue.

I just got a Brita water filter and I followed all the assembly instructions, but for some reason the water has a chlorine taste to it. Is the filter even working? Has anyone else had the same problem?

if i run cheap kamcatchka vodka through a brita water filter and then after poor the vodka out into the bottle and put water back into the filter well the water taste like vodka?

I recently bought a Brita water filter. I have run water through it plenty of times before using it, but for some reason, when I pour water into my cup, there’s still tiny tiny grey particles in it. What do I do? What is this? Is it bad for my health?

College life, a Brita water filter ended up in our fridge. I wanted to see if it actually makes a difference or if people buy it merely because it mentally makes them feel better. Watch and enjoy. Sorry I’m lame in it, I’m still getting used to the whole “I’m on camera” stuff.

I just recently bought a new Brita water filter and I put it on the counter at room temperature instead of the refrigerator. I want to know if the filtration will be the same as if you were to put it in the refrigerator. Hope my question makes sense…Thanks for your answers in advance.
