Water Run (3 of 9)
Every survival exercise follows the same basic pattern. The first day you run around like a one-armed paperhanger trying to get into a stable situation. Day two is spent working hard improving your situation. By day three you are just camping and have time to relax a bit. This trip followed that classic pattern. Your top three priorities are usually shelter, fire, and water. These three allow you to create stable conditions. My first day priorities were shelter and fire, I was low on water but I had some. That made getting water the first order of the day on day two. Once that was taken care of I had time to do some scouting and work on making camp comfortable.

SteriPEN Review
Review of the SteriPEN Adventurer. I personally prefer this over a water filtration set any day. The adventurer weighs just 3.6 ounces with batteries, and is much smaller than a filter kit. It also does not need replacement filters. The SteriPEN comes in numerous models, however most are just variations in color. The three different designs that have form-factor and functionality differences are the Steripen Classic, Adventurer, and Journey (which contains an LCD panel instead of just a blinking light). The rest of the models available are just colored differently. I purchased the Adventurer because it has a better battery life, and a smaller, lighter form factor. It seemed a little more durable and came with a neoprene case as well. The drawback is that unlike the Classic, it takes CR123 batteries, instead of AA batteries. It was also more (Classic runs at around and the Adventurer at around 0). I take this with me all over the place, not just out hiking because you never know when you are going to need clean water. ——————————————————— On a side note, I was planning on doing quite a few more videos today but my batteries died mid-way through my ENO Hammock review (slap-straps, hammock, and DryFly) and my replacement pair somehow was dead also (lesson learned).
